The history of Triad Insurance Group is and remains today, anchored in family. In 1987, Triad was born out of a vision shared by co-founders Gordon and Karen Silverstein of a benefit firm that truly cares about increasing the value in our clients’ health and welfare benefits, thus ultimately helping to increase the overall security of our clients’ financial future. This mission remains of high importance, especially in the current market where premiums and deductibles are rising, and opportunities to save are shrinking.

Meet Our Team
GORDON SILVERSTEIN
PRESIDENT
Gordon’s insurance career has spanned nearly 50 years. He brings his experience from working with insurance companies and agencies. After recognizing a marketplace need for an agency specializing in employee benefits, he co-founded Triad in 1985. Prior to Triad, Gordon owned and operated a successful Property & Casualty agency. Gordon has been instrumental in developing and marketing new product lines for insurance companies, as well as third party administrators. Gordon has created several exclusive benefit programs that have been successfully marketed nationwide. He has had many Fortune 500 companies as his clients.

KAREN SILVERSTEIN
VICE PRESIDENT
After working with a property and casualty agency, Karen envisioned a need for a brokerage agency that specializes in nationally marketed products specifically for the employee benefits broker and its clients. In 1983, Karen co-founded this national employee benefit wholesaler, Group Benefits, Inc. In addition, Karen Silverstein co-founded Triad with Gordon Silverstein in 1985.

Noah joined Triad in 2004. Noah is responsible for Triad’s small group underwriting and life insurance underwriting.

CINDY CAMARGO
CLAIMS – MEDICARE AND LONG TERM CARE
Cindy Camargo joined Triad in 1995. Cindy’s insurance career began with selling individual long term care and Medicare supplements. Cindy is now Triad’s Operation Manager. By using her experience on the sales side, she understands the needs of our brokers and clients. Cindy handles all of our Medicare Supplement and Long Term Care business.

LEE CHESTER
VICE PRESIDENT, RHU
After working with a large life insurance general agency, Lee joined Triad in 1992. Lee’s expertise is in creating, implementing and servicing employee benefit plans for employers of all sizes. Lee earned his business degree from California State University at Northridge in 1992 and earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 1999. Lee also earned his Registered Health Underwriter designation in 2001.
Lee earned his Certification in Long Term Care (CLTC) in 2013 and is also a Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist (CHRS) and recognized by the National Association of Health Underwriters as a Certified PPACA Professional as well. Lee also earned his Health Insurance Professional (HIP) designation and is a Certified Insurance Agent (CIA) for the new health insurance marketplace, Covered California.

MARIA GOMEZ
ASSISTANT UNDERWRITER
Maria Gomez joined Triad in 1991. Maria is responsible for Triad’s entire small business employee quoting and the preparation of RFP’s for larger groups. She has created several automated systems to expedite the quoting process and has many relationships with all of our top insurance carriers. Maria is also responsible for underwriting all of Triad’s individual health business.

George Kilian has been in the insurance industry and has been working with Triad’s president, Gordon Silverstein, for 50 years. George’s career began with Fireman’s Fund and has continued with other insurance companies. George joined Triad in 1988. George’s hands-on service, support and expertise have made him the top producing brokerage account executive for Triad.

Liz joined Triad in 1996, originally working in underwriting and handling all of the clients’ administrative events. She currently works exclusively in administration and licensing.

Elwin joined Triad in 1985 working in bookkeeping. After graduating California State University at Northridge in 1991 and obtaining his insurance licenses, Elwin became an account executive in 1992. Elwin’s expertise is in creating financially viable employee benefit programs for his agents and clients. Elwin earned his Registered Health Underwriter designation in 1999 and is a Certified Insurance Agent (CIA) for the new health insurance marketplace, Covered California.
